When I first heard about the “World Series of Beer Pong” I thought to myself “Sweet!! I should drive to Vegas right now!” But then it occurred to me that I really suck at beer pong. I just use it as an excuse to get really drunk at parties. And what a great excuse it is.

The 40cozy team has a special bond with Beer Pong. Its a little known fact that a 40 fills up one team’s cups perfectly and playing with Mickey’s or Colt45 definitely ups the stakes a bit. Anyway, check out the site and the contestants. Maybe next year you’ll be competing.

To stay true to our roots and pay homage to one of Southern California’s greatest bands of all time, we created a design inspired by Sublime’s “40 oz to Freedom.”

We think the late and great Brad Nowell was a lyrical and musical genius. Not to discount the skills of the rest of the band, but this 40cozy is dedicated to their wild, talented lead singer. While it’s a damn shame he went the way he did, I think Neil Young was right when he said, “it’s better to burn out than to fade away.”

So if you decide to pick up this cozy, remember to poor out some for Brad.
